4-Day Training on Disaster Management Concludes

A four-day training to Ward representatives, School Management Committee, teachers and students of Shree Kuleshwor Seconday School concluded today. The training on "School Disaster Risk Management and Planning" had begun on the twenty-sixth of February, 2021. The training was organized by Nepal Reconstruction Authority, Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Education) under Disaster Resilience of Schools Project (DRSP) and conducted by REED Nepal in coordination with Strength JV.

During the sessions, the participants of the training developed a risk management plan and formed a committee along with different task forces for its implementation. On the concluding day, an earthquake response drill and simulation was conducted among all the students and teachers of the school at the presence of  Mr. Bhim Bahadur Bogati, the Chief Executive officer of REED Nepal. 

Speaking at the concluding ceremony, SMC chair Mr. Jagannath Subedi expressed his sincere gratitudes to the training chief Mr. Ramnath Ojha and others for wonderful and productive sessions and thanked Reconstruction Authority for giving an opportunity to be trained on disaster management and planning.
